On Thursday 17th August, 2023, chiefs and elders from communities such as Ngleshie Amanfro, Bortianor, Kokrobite, Aplaku, Langma, Oshiyie, Domeabra, Ashalaja, Danchira and Obom were engaged as part of preparations towards the celebration of Homowo.

This august program was also aimed at creating a working business relationship with businesses in the municipality, identifying their major challenges with regards to securing permit, tax related issues and how the Assembly can assist in resolving them. Security arrangements were put in place to ensure incident free celebrations.

The Assembly took advantage to discuss developmental issues within their various committees. Feedback was obtained from the chiefs on matters that require urgent attention.

MUSEC announced to the meeting of the passing of the Ga Manye and therefore the entire Ga State is observing Odom. There should be no open sprinkling of kpokpoi as a sign of respect in honor of the late Queen Mother. The Assembly donated bags of corn, red oil, soft drinks, water and cash donations were made to all the communities to aid a successful celebrations
