The Ga South Municipal Assembly on Monday, 9th August, 2021 presented assorted items to the Chiefs of the Ga communities in the Municipality at the Premises of the Assembly towards the celebration of the Homowo festival.
Hon. Joseph Nyarni Stephen, the Municipal Chief Executive during the donation thanked the chiefs for their support and further urged the them to eschew divisiveness and embrace peace in all their endeavors especially on days leading to the celebration of the Homowo.
The Muncipal Chief Executive further implored the chiefs to ensure that everyone follows the rules of social distancing, sanitize and disinfect surfaces, avoid getting in touch with germy areas and wear their nosemasks at all times even as they celebrate Homowo with merry making.
The items donated included bags of maize, gallons of cooking oil, assorted drinks, bags of water and boxes of Hand Sanitizers.
The Municipal Chief Executive was assisted by the Member of Parliament for the Bortianor/Ngleshie-Amanfro, Hon. Sylvester Tetteh and the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Isaac Kwakye.
