The Ga South Municipal Assembly held a management meeting on Monday, 19th May 2025, to formally introduce the newly appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Moses Kabu Kubi Ocansey, to the management team and to set the strategic direction for his stewardship.
The MCE presented a transformative agenda focused on addressing key challenges such as poor road infrastructure, lack of educational facilities, healthcare access, sanitation, clean water, and electricity. Empowerment of youth and women through skills development and economic opportunities is central to this vision. Initiatives include establishing a municipal farm to boost food security and job creation, and constructing an agro-processing factory to stimulate local economic growth.
The administration will prioritize infrastructure development, vocational training programs like the National Apprenticeship Programme, and digital skills development through the 1 Million Coders Initiative. A Municipal Sanitation Day Program will promote environmental responsibility, supported by strict enforcement of sanitation bylaws to maintain a clean and attractive municipality.
This inaugural management meeting under the stewardship of the new MCE marked a pivotal moment for Ga South Municipal Assembly. With a clear vision, strategic mission, and a committed management team, the municipality is well-positioned to embark on a path of sustainable development and improved service delivery. The collective dedication to professionalism, accountability, and collaboration promises to drive meaningful progress that will positively impact the lives of all residents in Ga South.
