The First Lady of the Republic, H.E Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo-Addo on 1st and 4th September, 2020 embarked on a working visit to Ga South to Commission and cut sod for the Health Centre at Kwame Anum and a Library at Bortianor respectively.
The First Lady and co-founder of the Infanta Malaria Prevention did the commissioning of the Kwame Anum Health centre following its sod cutting in May 2019.
Present at the commissioning of the Health Centre were the Municipal Chief Executive of Ga South Municipal Assembly, Hon. Joseph Nyarni Stephen, Mr. Philip E.K. Doe, the Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of the NPP at the Obom-Domeabra constituency, Hon. Sylvester, the Parliamentary Candidate on the ticket of the NPP at the Ngleshie Amanfro-Bortianor constituency, and chiefs and elders of Kwame Anum.
In a related development, the First Lady also cut the sod for the construction of a Library at Bortianor in the Ga South Municipality saying, the various library projects being constructed around the country are to increase the access of books to school children.
She expressed gratitude to the Municipal Chief Executive of the Ga South Municipal Assembly, Hon. Joseph Nyarni Stephen, the Ghana Health Service, Ghana Education Service, Chiefs and Elders of Kwame Anum and Bortianor for their relentless efforts in ensuring the fruitfulness of the development projects in the Municipality.
