The country Director of GIZ and the Canadian Representative paid a one-day working visit to the Ga South Municipal Assembly on 9th October, 2019. The visit was to interact and get a first-hand information about the success story of the Municipality.
The team was fascinated about the spate of development of the Municipality within one and half years of being in existence. They were impressed about the effective use of the Internally Generated Fund (IGF) for the Construction of an Ultra-modern office complex, spot improvement of roads and the supply of building materials to residential associations to address immediate challenges within the locality.
Additionally, the use of ICT innovation in revenue mobilization and the frequent community engagements spearheaded by the Municipal Chief Executive also received their commendation. After the interaction, the team toured the ultra-modern office complex and was greatly satisfied with the extent of innovation of management
The Country Director of GIZ, Mr Alan Walsch thanked management for receiving the team and encouraged them to keep up with the good work.
